In God We Trust is a series of photographic portraits that construct, much in the same way a Hollywood movie would, a fictionalised account of life in the United States armed forces, focusing on four of the five branches: the United States Army, the United States Navy, the United States Air Force and the United States Marine Corps. In God We Trust adopts the construction methods of Hollywood cinema, utilising actors, props and sets, to construct meaning; framing these devices within the traditional photographic portrait. In essence In God We Trust is an essay on technique; it examines notions of lighting, composition, framing, and mise-en-scène, using characters found in Hollywood screen culture, in this instance the uniformed personnel of the United States military. In God We Trust is fiction that examines image making technique.

The short live action film Thomasina is a Contemporary Western set in Bugtussle, Louisiana. Based on the diaries of retired De Soto Parish Sheriff Obadiah Mudgett. It tells the story of a Louisiana whorehouse and the murderous events that took place there in the summer of 2008, when local crime kingpin A.J Chisum and four known criminal associates were murdered. Thomasina is a forensic reconstruction of what became known as The Bugtussle Whorehouse Massacre.

Thomasina draws on the mythology of the American West, or more precisely, the Hollywood myth of the American West; and is in part an analysis of genre, using the American Western as a case study, and the technical means to bring it about.
